The Black Entrepreneurship Knowledge Hub Comes to the University of Alberta

Beyond establishing the BEKH’s mission to lead the development of community-led research projects in collaboration with academics, community organizations, and post-secondary institutions, the Carleton University delegation sketched the short, medium and long term goals of the Hub, which include developing partnership capacity, producing large scale quantitative and qualitative research projects, and fostering tangible research outputs with the goal of building project sustainability.

Within the next year, Grant says he expects the Hub to be fully functional, with community partners actively engaged in co-creating and developing research that reflects the needs of Black entrepreneurs.     We at the Black Entrepreneurship Hub, would like to personally invite students and faculty who are interested in learning more about or finding research opportunities with the Black Entrepreneurship Knowledge Hub (BEKH) to a research engagement session on Black Entrepreneurship Research hosted by the Black Entrepreneurship Knowledge Hub (BEKH) at our office on Thursday, January 26th from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Carleton University, Sprott School of Business, Nicol Building, 1st Floor. Refreshments will be served

  • BEKH Research Symposium / Symposium Les recherches du Carrefour du savoir pour l'entrepreneuriat des communautés noires

    The symposium will be a full day hybrid event, both in-person and virtual on Thursday November 17, 2022, and a half-day on Friday November 18, 2022. We seek participation from academic and community-based researchers, organizations serving Black entrepreneurs in Canada and entrepreneurs.

    Le symposium est un évènement hybride, les participants pourront y assister en présentiel ou en ligne. Le symposium aura lieu la journée complète du jeudi 17 novembre 2022 ainsi que la demi-journée du vendredi 18 novembre 2022.
